Text formatting in WhatsApp

WhatsApp finally lets you format text.

Messages can now be written in Bold, Italic and with text Strikethrough.
When sending messages, you can add certain characters to format text, these characters can be added before or after words or sentences, they make messages go Bold, Italic or appear to have been Strikethrough or All Formats.
It’s a small update compared to more recent additions, but WhatsApp now lets you write in different formats.
When sending messages, you can add certain characters before and after the words or sentences to make them go Bold, Italic or Strikethrough. This can be used to add emphasis to certain words and means the app is taking even further aim at email and word processing apps.

Bold: Add an asterisk (*) before and after the specific words or phrases you want to embolden e.g. *test*
Strikethrough: Add a tilde (~) before and after the words or phrases you want to strike a line through e.g. ~test~
Italics: Add an underscore (_) before and after the chosen words or phrases e.g. _test_

Increase laptop battery life 100% guaranteed steps

increase laptop battery life

How to increase laptop battery life 100% guaranteed steps.

Every laptop user these days have the same headache of limited backup time of batteries. As far as your system is new, you will have a good backup time but when it becomes a few months or years old you will definitely face problem of limited battery life and comes the question how to increase laptop battery life?

Here I’m giving you a solution to increase battery life of laptop upto a sufficient extent.

To save power, make your computer do less in general:
Don’t use a screensaver. They’re unnecessary on modern displays and will drain your battery to do nothing useful when your display could be off and saving power,
Run fewer programs in the background,
Reduce CPU usage,
Avoid maxing out your RAM.

There is an inbuilt command in your computer to increase battery life as well as the performance of the system but not all users are aware of it. Some laptops directly provide an interface with option termed as “POWER SAVING MODE” but if your laptop is old or don’t have this feature by default, you need not to worry because you can do the same task manually.

If you have a laptop with Windows 7 and above installed, you can run the ‘powercfg’ command using cmd.exe in administrator mode. It will display useful information about your laptop’s energy consumption and usage. If you can understand and maintain it correctly then you can extend your Battery life and performance by great amount.

100% guaranteed steps.

Step 1: Click on the Start Menu and type “CMD” in the Start Search bar.

Step 2: The search will start and it will then display an icon of “CMD”. simply right click on it and select Run as administrator.

Step 3: It will open command line, now simply run the command “powercfg -energy” without quotes. (Windows 7 users only.). Windows 8 and above can simply run the command “powercfg /energy” without quotes.

Step 4: Now Press “Enter”.

Once you successfully execute this command, Windows will run a complete scan of your system and it will find some ways to improve performance and power efficiency.

The results of this process will be saved to an HTML file with name “energy-report”, which is present in the “System32” folder of most systems depending on your drive letter. Mine is C:\, you can change to D, E or F… depending on where your Operating System is installed.

Phishing is the act of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Communications purporting to be from popular social web sites, auction sites, banks, online payment processors or IT administrators are commonly used to lure unsuspecting public. Phishing emails may contain links to websites that are infected with malware. Phishing is typically carried out by email spoofing or instant messaging, and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one. Phishing is an example of social engineering techniques used to deceive users, and exploits the poor usability of current web security technologies. Attempts to deal with the growing number of reported phishing incidents include legislation, user training, public awareness and technical security measures.

Phishing is the most easiest and popular hacking method used by hackers to get someone account details. In Phishing attack, hackers send fake page of real website like facebook, gmail to victim. When someone login through that fake page his/her details is sent to the hacker. This fake pages can be easily created and hosted on free web-hosting sites.

1. Guard against spam. If your webmail spam filters can’t do it for you, be especially cautious of emails that:

  • Come from unrecognized senders.
  • Ask you to confirm personal or financial information over the Internet and/or make urgent requests for this information.
  • Aren’t personalized.
  • Try to upset you into acting quickly by threatening you with frightening information.

2. Communicate personal information only via phone or secure web sites. In fact:

When conducting online transactions, look for a sign that the site is secure such as a lock icon on the browser’s status bar or a “https:” URL whereby the “s” stands for “secure” rather than a “http:”. e.g.“https://yourbank.com/page1/page2.aspx”. Also, beware of phone phishing schemes. Do not divulge personal information over the phone unless you initiate the call. Be cautious of emails that ask you to call a phone number to update your account information as well.

3. Do not click on links, download files or open attachments in emails from unknown senders. It is best to open attachments only when you are expecting them and know what they contain, even if you know the sender.

4. Never email personal or financial information, even if you are close with the recipient. You never know who may gain access to your email account, or to the person’s account to whom you are emailing.

5. Beware of links in emails that ask for personal information, even if the email appears to come from an enterprise you do business with. Phishing web sites often copy the entire look of a legitimate web site, making it appear authentic. To be safe, call the legitimate enterprise first to see if they really sent that email to you. After all, businesses should not request personal information to be sent via email.

6. Beware of pop-ups and follow these tips:

  • Never enter personal information in a pop-up screen.
  • Do not click on links in a pop-up screen.
  • Do not copy web addresses into your browser from pop-ups.
  • Legitimate enterprises should never ask you to submit personal information in pop-up screens, so don’t do it.

7. Protect your computer with a firewall, spam filters, anti-virus, anti-malware and anti-spyware software. Do some research to ensure you are getting the most up-to-date software, and update them all regularly to ensure that you are blocking from new viruses and spyware.

8. Check your online accounts and bank statements regularly to ensure that no unauthorized transactions have been made. You should always be careful about giving out personal information over the Internet. Luckily, companies have begun to employ tactics to fight against phishers, but they cannot fully protect you on their own. Are you still afraid? Download IBM Trusteer Rapport here to stay secured with your internet banking transactions.

Remember that you may be targeted almost anywhere online, so always keep an eye out for those “phishy” schemes and never feel pressure to give up personal information online.

Google launches a new social app called Spaces to support group chat, despite its failures with Google+

Google launches a new social app

Google launches a new social app

Google isn’t giving up on its social ambitions, it seems, despite its failures with Google+. The company announced this morning a new social app called Spaces, which focuses on group sharing. The app allows small groups of users to tap into other Google services, including Google Search, YouTube and Chrome, in order to post links and share content without having to move in between apps. They can also have conversations around that content in a group chat-like interface.

Group sharing isn’t easy. From book clubs to house hunts to weekend trips and more, getting friends into the same app can be challenging. Sharing things typically involves hopping between apps to copy and paste links. Group conversations often don’t stay on topic, and things get lost in endless threads that you can’t easily get back to when you need them.

Google wanted to build a better group sharing experience, so they made Spaces that lets people get people together instantly to share around any topic.
With Spaces, it’s simple to find and share articles, videos and images without leaving the app, since Google Search, YouTube, and Chrome come built in.

This makes Spaces more of a competitor to something like Facebook’s Messenger or WhatsApp, perhaps, because of its focus on chatting and its mobile-friendly nature. (The app is available on iOS, Android and mobile web, though it will also work on the desktop).

What many of the top chat apps today lack are deeper integrations with web services – while posted links may offer rich media previews in some cases, Google Spaces’ users can not only find and share web content from Google Search and YouTube, that content can also be viewed by others without having to leave the app.

Another decidedly Google advantage is that the content shared in a dedicated space becomes searchable. Users can search their Spaces by keyword, which returns both links and images – the latter thanks to Google’s image recognition technology already live today in other products, like Google Photos.

How to hack someone’s personal computer

How to hack someone’s personal computer

How to hack someone's personal computer

As the digital world becomes more and more complex, the need for deliberate, thorough security grows. Yes, we know, you’ve got everything “password protected.” And yes, not every hacker is like the guys in the movies who are able to keyboard their way through complicated layers of encrypted, password-protected security faster than a gamer boots up a new version of Call of Duty. 🙂

This is a common question on search engines, but unfortunately, we do not condone hacking and will not provide training or help on how to hack. Hacking is illegal!!!. Hacking a computer to view or steal protected information is not going to resolve anything. If you choose to know hacking, an option is to take a training course on ethical hacking. If you are interested in hacking, go for careers like cyber security or computer security, instead of trying to do it illegally, there are many good alternatives to consider. Learn an alternative Operating System such as Unix, Linux, Mac, know how to setup computer networks, read security news and learn a Programming Language like Java, C, C++ and so on. If you’ve done all of this and still want to hack a network, then try hacking your network without the fear of getting in trouble. Hacking your network can teach you how to hack and can also teach you how to avoid threats.
Doing any of the above recommendations give you a much better understanding of computers and security than using someone else’s script to break into a computer ever would. Apart from the solutions like retrieving or bypassing BIOS passwords, operating system passwords, and some application passwords, we do not help anyone break passwords.

Note: Online e-mail services such as Microsoft Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo have password recovery systems already setup. Often, passwords can be reset or sent to you by answering a secret question or providing the e-mail address used to register for the service. If you are unable to recover your password using the services provided by the company, contact the company with additional suggestions, or consider abandoning the e-mail address. Stay up to date on our site for tricks and tips on how to use your hacking skills to resolve computer issues.
